-Pentecost mass in the Church at 9.00am. We would love to have some of our parents come along. You can sit with us if you like.
Just in case you wanted to know a little more about Pentecost...

The word Pentecost is Greek and it means "50th day." 

Fifty days after Easter Sunday, we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and their followers, and the beginning of their Earthly ministry to make disciples of all nations.

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. Acts 2:1–4

It is celebrated as the beginning of the Church or as the Church's birthday.
