Week 10

Goodness me how did the end of the term come so quickly?? Sadly this week we said goodbye to Carlisle - she has moved to the South Island with her family. We will all miss you Carlisle.

Welcome to St. Mary's Tamba - it's fantastic to have you in our class. You are fitting in so well with the other children - it feels like you've been here all year. It's great to see you making so many new friends.

Last week of Term 3 - here's what's happening this week.

Wednesday - 8:45 School Singing. Please be at school early.

Thursday - Go For It with Tim. This will be our last session.

Friday - Share Lunch. We would like to have a shared lunch on Friday to celebrate all our hard work this term. Could you please provide a plate of yummy (healthyish) food for us to share.

Friday - Portfolios and RE books go home. Please go through them with your child and talk about what's in them. Remember to complete the two stars and a wish page (portfolios) and the whanau sharing page (RE books) and return them in week 1 next term.

Holiday Reading Logs - another one will be coming home this week. Please keep up the reading in the holidays. It really does help maintain their reading levels when they continue reading. The public library have heaps of cool books the kids will be able to read independently. There is only one way to become a better reader, that is to read, read and read.

A note from our Assistant Principal
Reminder - Forms for parent input into 2018 class placements were issued the week before last to each student. Parents  - please note these forms need to be returned by Friday 29 September if you wish us to consider your input. The forms need to be returned to the big blue postal box in the student foyer.

Thanks to those parents who have already returned the form for their child/ren. If you have mislaid or not seen the form you can collect a copy from the school office or go to this link.
