Groovy Gardeners in Room 18
We are sooooo lucky to have Bunnings helping us with our garden... and Abi our fabulous teacher aide managing the garden team. Here is their latest update...
Our green fingered gardeners had fun time outside today. Liam was our chief weeder, taking his job very seriously indeed. Liam you showed so much care and attention to your task, ka pai :0)
Lika and Campbell, you enjoyed creating your own water features, whilst watering our gardens and I loved the team work as you filled up everyone's watering can in the process.
Tumanako you are our worm finder, finding many deep down whilst weeding. Tumanako you are very at home in the garden and it was not long before you were back in the 'mud kitchen' making mud pies, and Jesse you found a very cool centipede, which very quickly became Campbell's best friend. It was a joy to watch the fascination on your face Campbell :0)

Well done!
Remember - Friday is Mufti Day - Bring a GOLD coin. Dress up as your favourite book character - I know Rory is coming as Robin Hood (he even has his own bow and arrow!). Miss Ryan is contemplating coming as the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland - I have far too many favourite book characters to choose from!

Week 5
Almost half way through the term already - scary! A fairly quiet week ahead...
Swimming - it's our turn again this week. The timetable is slightly different as the seniors have coaches coming into the school to teach them. The best thing to do is bring your togs, towel and a plastic bag each day and we'll navigate the logistics.
Young Vinnies Mufti Day - Friday - GOLD COIN DONATION. Come along dressed as your favourite book character. All funds raised will be donated to the Sky TV Special Children's Christmas Party.
Here are some ideas for book characters...

Food Bank Donations - The Young Vinnies are collecting cans of food to donate to the food bank for families in need. If you have any cans that you are able to donate, they would be much appreciated.

Traditional and Class Prayers
These are the traditional prayers we are learning to say in class and some of the class prayers we also say.
Traditional Prayers
SIGN OF THE CROSS
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
OUR FATHER
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be
Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done,
on earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our
daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we
forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us
not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
HAIL MARY
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is
the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.
GLORY BE
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Class Prayers
End of Day Prayer
Every day right at 3, my home is waiting there for me.
School is over, work is done.
Off to home I skip and run.
Thank you God my work is done.
Now I'm off to have more fun.
Amen.
Morning Prayer
My loving Creator, this new day is for you.
Please bless everything I think, I say, I do.
Amen.
Thank You God
Thank you God for the food we eat.
Thank you God for the world so sweet.
Thank you God for the birds that sing.
Thank you God for everything.
Amen.
Week 3
Hopefully the weather fines up and warms up this week - it's a tad chilly today.
Here's what's happening this week.

If you find a uniform or part thereof at your home that does not belong to your child, please return it to school promptly. No questions asked.
