Week 1 - Term 4

WOW! The holidays have just flown by - I hope you have all had a fantastic break. Hopefully we have nice weather for our first week back.

This week...

SUMMER UNIFORMS - INCLUDING HATS. Remember to come to school in your summer uniform and bring your hat. Hats are compulsory in term 4. PLEASE MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS NAMED! It makes it so much easier to locate the correct owner.

SWIMMING - EVERYDAY. Bring your togs, towel and a bag to put your gear in everyday this week for swimming. We swim in the afternoons 1:30-2:30 in two groups. PLEASE MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS NAMED! It makes it so much easier to locate the correct owner.

HOLIDAY READING LOGS. Start bringing these into school so you can be added to the holiday prize draw. Mr Macmillan has some neat prizes to give away. Remember the class that returns the most reading logs gets to have a pizza lunch!

ROSARY - Wednesday 8:45 in the hall. October is the month of the Rosary - it is to honor Mary. The Rosary is a Catholic prayer based upon the Bible that focuses on the events in the life of Jesus and that of Mary the Mother of Jesus. Each Wednesday for the next three weeks we will be celebrating a different mystery as we pray the Rosary together. The seniors are presenting the Rosary this week, the middles in week 2 and the juniors in week 3. Parents and family are welcome to attend to pray with us.

RE BOOKS & PORTFOLIOS. Please bring both these back this week. Remember to complete the family/whanau page in the RE book and the 2 stars and a wish page in the portfolios.

PHOTOS
Here are some photos I found on the i-pad from the last couple of day of term 3. We were happy, quiet, productive wee critters.

It was great to see Mylene at our shared lunch. The children were most relieved to see Mylene smiling after her unfortunate accident two days before. I hope your recovery has gone well over the holidays Mylene - you can tell me all about it tomorrow.

See you all tomorrow
